The chiltons book says to put some sealant in 2 places on the front left side of the motor,but the illustration leaves much to be desired,does anyone know if it is really needed?
BTW this is a one piece rubber gasket.

I ended up going by the illustration,I had to get a pair of reading glasses just to see the crappy drawing.
Put sealant where the oil pan gskt lays over the aluminum front seal "holder" to the block...just about the size of a large pea. I put some at the rear main cap area where the gaskt meets also.
