hello all! i am a long time thunderbird lover. i am right now on my 5th bird and it is my first of this generation. a 1987 turbo coupe. i have owned 2 1989 3.8's and i have a 91 5.0 and a 92 5.0 lx. my 5.0 is waiting for a rear. anyway i enjoy my tc very much. i am now lookin for another cheap tc to rebuild the motor and hopefully get a good front end off of. my tc was 300 bucks but it does throw oil out the dipstick if ur on it good so i take it easy. the only problem for inspection is the front end damage. well, it does have a bent tie rod too.

hey i couldnt help but notice the aim sn. Smokerun. any realation to the smoke run in clearfield? this is where i got hunting every year.

i think your $300 tc is in better shape than my $300 tc.
Thats a nice lookin car for 300 bucks.
i bought it with bare tires so i had to wait till i got new ones to see if posi worked. surprisingly it does and i didnt even really lose any tire. i actually have a quick clip of it also. after this one i had a bad oil mess but thats beofre i discovered it was comin out the dipstick. heres the video clip..........

holy crap your $300 tc burns them?!
yea its a hoot when u have posi but now that its pushin oil out i take it easy. i think it gets to 100 quicker than my 91 5.0 in fact. but let me show u y it was 300 bucks..............

she needs some work and no yards around here have anything else than the headlights. but i have a load of videos of stuff we do when we r bored and if u guys want i will start a thread where i can post videos of us. i also have a few compilations i made too.
Check your pcv valve, That is oftern the cause of oil out the dipstick because boost is getting by the PCV. Holding the valve staright up and down try to blosw through the small end. If it passes NAY air at all replace it with ONLY the ford valve:
Ford P/N: E5ZZ-6A666-A (this is the correct p/n, 5/13/02) The Motorcraft box will also have EV-127-A on it
