I know its for a mustang but from what Ive seen the chassis are very similar, would there be a problem using this and if so does anybody know where I would be able to find some stiffer springs for a turbo coupe?
If you cut between 1/2 coil to 1 full coil, not only does it lower your car but it makes it a little bit stiffer too. I wouldnt ever reccomend cutting more than 1 full coil! I have 1/2 coil cut off the front and the car rides super nice and it lowered the front almost an about 3/4 inch.
hey! would that lowering kit work in my car. its an 87 but a 4 cylinder.
Kind of. In my research Ive found a few things:
Mustang front shocks work fine however SN95 fronts being slightly longer are a better choice even though they sacrifice a slight amount of droop travel

Mustang rear shocks require a modification to the lower mount as they are too short. Chuck W. on foxtbirdcougarforums makes these.

Mustang front springs are great. I personally would use V8 mustang springs as the Tbird is a heavier car

Mustang rear springs are much too short without the use of the CHE adjustable perch lower control arms.

In the near future I will be releasing a few Thunderbird/Cougar specific suspension kits I would wait on one of them.
thanks for the info Smile
