I have two turbo coupes my turbo coupe thats in good condition is automatic and the other is stanard but in really bad shape, the auto tranny is going out, How hard is it to swap to Automatic to Stanard? And is there some very important thing i should know about this project? Also i lost all power to every thing inside the car when i switched computers. Very confused need help!!!!??!????!
Lost power sounds like a possible blown fusible link; you'll have to do som troubleshooting to find out.

The trans swap has been done by quite a few; the hardest part (IMO) being the removal and installation of the pedal assembly. The important thing is to take your time and make sure you do the electrical connections properly so the clutch safety switch, reverse light, and speedo work OK.

Lots of past posts with tips, search in the General and the Performance forums.
having the car right there to steal parts off of is the EASIEST way to do it. the whole junkyard thing is a pain. get a new clutch, while your at it, unless the one that come out looks PERFECT.

I did it as a very inexperienced, and self-taught mechanic, and with parts acquired over several weeks through online sources and local JY's.
I did have a local friend who is a good mechanic I'd call from time to time when I was stumped. He showed up a couple times to walk me through a problem. That was definitely helpful.

It wasn't easy, and it took me a LONG time, but for the most part anyone who can turn a wrench can figure it out.
