So... last week i sent one of my heads off the to machine shop to get check and if ok, worked on, like new cam bearing,s spings, the exhuast side milled, the head milled, and valve job etc. well head is cracked in a two valve seats and its too big to put an insert in.
this was a head i recievd with the short blskc i have in the car (Turbo II).
so i sent out the head i took off the car with the one exhuast lave seat in 1/16 of an inch... got word back today that this heat has multpiple cracks and agian to big to fix. so im stuck.....
i been talking to menthos about using a heart chamber head and just grinding the the chamber to make it d shaped.....
but im losing my drive for this engine....
this car isn't right... the frame has been twisted for years and its never gonna stop rusting... maybe it just needs to be a fun car. but i dont have a lot of money. the 2.3 is starting to show it costs and its not fun.
im just stuck. i always wanted a V8 tbird.... now i stil have the 87 which is almost a numbers matching car and in great shape as all the pieces are there and correct. so maybe one v8 one I4..but identical...just a thought dont shot me yet
there is a company that has heads for the 2.3 and im awaiting confirmation its a d shaped camber... if it is ill buy it. 275 shipped, with everything...bolt on ready, just have to ship my core back. but ill only go this route if its a d-shaped chamber.
what should i do, i need support on this.......
