I just bought a boost controller and a K&N direct replacement filter. My car already had performance exhaust(high flow cat back) done. Do I need a compressor bypass kit, and 3" down tube now? And will this boost controller increase my heat levels? These are the only changes I plan to make. Will I see increased performance?
The 3" downpipe is considered the best part of an exhaust system upgrade. The boost controller by iutself won't increase your heat levels. If you turn up the boost higher than it is now, there will be more heat generated when you use that boost. Do you need a compressor bypass kit? It's not a bad idea if you are turning up the boost.
