Just got the t3 on my car and took it for a drive. It wont make any boost. Not a single pound. I searched but didnt come up with anything.
Okay, just checked my turbo once it cooled down. The fins are touching the compressor housing and it cant turn. I dont have a compressor gasket. Could that be the problem? Making the housing too close to the center?
Noooobody huh?
I can't say for sure that the gasket is your whole issue but you should be able to get one from any turbo shop. Evergreen Turbo is in Ocala.

Give Charlie a call, he can answer the question.
No I've run my turbo with no compressor housing gasket and it spun just fine, really the only thing not having a gasket did was let me over torque a bolt Sad

It also depends on were its making contact in the compressor housing, does your turbo have alot of play wiggling it back and forth or can you pull the compressor wheel in and out
It doesnt have any play. I put a new gasket on and the wheel was spinning free. Just outta curiousity i looked at the exhaust wheel and it wasnt spinning with the compressor. If i tighten the nut on the compressor wheel pretty tight it spins the exhaust wheel, but its really hard to move the wheels with the nut that tight. So what now? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I actually looked at that video already. It says to just reinstall the nut and the wheels should spin freely.
The torque on the compressor nut is measured in inch/#, not ft/# so it is not suppose to have much torque on it.

The exhaust wheel should spin with the shaft. If it isn't something may be wrong with the turbo
There is a torque spec for that nut, but you'll have to do a search. Try google.
