After I dog my car real good, sometimes, there is smoke comming thru my heater vents. Has anyone else had this happen? My car smokes a little bit on startup , and a little under heavy boost. Any suggestions or responses are appreciated.
Sounds like a common case of bad heater core to me.

hmm what does it smell like? wipe the windshield with your finger and lick it. if is is sweet my guess would be heater core. but my car leaks oil and when it does this i get smoke coming up from the trans tunnel which is oil burning from the cat maybe it is this.

Lick it? You are aware that ethelyne glycol (the base for antifreeze) is poisonous, I hope?

I definitely know it is not antifreeze. I have had that problem with my 93 explorer sport. Its for sure oil. But what I cannot figure out is how it is getting in the heater vents. Oh Yeah Ryan I was in your neck of the woods yesterday. You live in woodstock right? I had a service call off exit 8 on 575. I service a Law Firm that has offices every where its like their a cult! lol
Exit 8 is where you get off to get to my house... About 10 minutes away lol

How long did it take you to get there? Was the firm off of Towne Lake Pkwy near the Publix/QT/movie theatre?

Oh. The fresh air intake for the air system is located on the passenger firewall near the exhaust downpipe. Any oil leakage in that area usually will get all over the exhaust/cat, so that could be a simple explanation. Check for fluid leakage down there and tell us what you find [Image: smile.gif]
