I know we’re kind of jumping the gun here because my son’s car is nowhere near ready for paint. In fact, it’s not even running yet, but… do any of you have pictures of any two toned 87/88 TCs? If it matters, his car is missing the stick-on trim on the sides and we’re considering leaving it all off. He thinks he may want to paint the upper and lower parts of the car different colors. We know that’s not stock, but none of the rest of the car will be stock anyway. We’d like to see some examples of cars painted in a two tone paint scheme, if possible. How about it, anyone got any custom paint job pictures they’d like to share? Thanks.
Two-Tone on a TurboCoupe...Yuk. Keep it original,it will pay off in the long run.
I've seen some pictures of early TC's with a dark color below the "belt" and a lighter color above. I specifically remember a dark gray below; didn't look bad at all. HERE\'S one from the Member's TC section - You might look there for more. HTH

My 3¢ worth.
I remember a white up top andalwood on the bottom 87 or 88, looked pretty slick.
The closest one I've seen. Not a TC, but it's an 87-88 Bird. First post.

It appears to be lighter below the belt, but perhaps it's an illusion.
Check the pics of my TC in the showroon..... custom blue over black paint. DOne at home in my garage.
My son has a 100% bone stock 87 TC that will remain original and will never be sold. This one is going to be a toy. Not much will stay stock on it, so we're not too worried about the long run. I really like the dark reds over gray/black and the dark blues over gray/black. Other lighter color combos can look good too. I actually did a white over gray Corvette for a customer a few years ago. That combination looked good too, well as good as it could on a Corvette. Obviously, it looks way better on a real car, a Turbo Coupe like Qwerty's. My son's interior is the blue/gray cloth, so I'm thinking something along the lines of Jeff K's might be the ticket. That one looks pretty cool. I hadn't thought of the Posie style two tone that Dark Thunder posted. That's interesting too. I am entering the pictures into a file for future reference. Thanks for the input so far!!
