Finally got a chance to take pics of the new paint. Even de-cobra-ized the center caps.
Hit the "full size" at the bottom left corner.

Real sweet. Tell us more about the paint job.
This was the car Rattrap was trying to sell on here. 3 coats single stage urethane. Came out real nice. Car was faded blue missing most of the clear coat. Had the door jambs and underhood and inside trunk lid all sprayed blackalso. No blue left anywhere. Right after paint, had the rear window moulding replaced. Outside pretty much done, just have to do a headliner, dashcap, and rear shelf and that should do it. Mechanically the car is tip-top.
Nice looking TC! The paint came out great!
What size wheels and tires do you have on there? What is your wheel offset?
Thanks. Also put in 2 new headlights and took apart and cleaned and painted the taillights. Just put in a new hood insulator today too. Always something to do. Body shop said to wait like 2 months before waxing. Can't wait to see what it looks like after that.
Waxing won't change the look at all, it will just protect and prolong the shine on the single stage. But yes wait2 months before waxing, from the orig date it was painted.
Good lookin car.Is there any kind of exemption you guys in Ohio,New York, etc.can get so you can remove that front licsense-plate bracket ? Maybe if the car was registered classic,or antique ? Those things look horrible and take away from the streamline front end.
As far as I know, NY has to have front plate.
it does look great and i'm glad to see you get some service out of it.
