I have a choice up the road to get a turbo muffler, a Flow-Pro Muffler (which the guy said was a cheaper version of a Flowmaster), or a Flowmaster muffler. Which one should I get? Also, I'm looking on ebay right now to try to find a cheap (but good) muffler for the car. What inlet/outlet size does an '86 TC have for the muffler??? Thanks again.

I have had the flow pro and the flowmaster on my car.. I first had 2, 2 chamber flopros on it with no converer, they sounded awesome.. not to loud but still loud enough and sound just like a flowmaster... then I moved to the ONE chambered flowmasters.. they are loud and I could tell a difference in power a little bit to, I like my vehicles really loud tho.... but they say that the flowmaster is not a very good muffler for a turbo car because they are a baffled design.... a turbo muffler I guess really flows better because they are straight through... but I personally love the flo pro, flowmaster sound...
I've got glasspacks on mine. It's not terribly loud. Matter of fact, at idle, it's not any louder than stock (well, maybe a little).

I am running dual 3 chamber flowmasters with a big downpipe - They sound really nice - not loud and not quiet either.

I've heard both sides of the "glasspack argument", and I have a set on my '88. They have a great mellow tone, not too loud. The power difference is significant too, but that's with the rest of the exhaust (3" dp...3" i/o cat...2.5" duals)
P.S. Can't beat the price on glasspacks.

I have glass packs and no cat, awesome sound, but sound like a tractor under load and they cost 14 bucks for them. But I wood like to get a 3inch system with cat and 3inch flowmaster but i cant find the 3inch tial pipes off a 5.0 mustang 87-93 GT, but cant find em.

OK, I will ask the MAIN question(mind you I have duels on mine just past the cat)
Which produces the most horsepower
Also would a single muffler instead of a duel setup past the cat produce more horsepower?

Jonesy
Wich produces the most HP?
I would bet on the one with the single pipe all the way.
Why?
If you can increase flow in and out of a motor you create more HP. Right? Right.
Look in that Y splitter next time you have your exhaust off.
It looks just like the inside of a Flowmaster muffler.
You want unobstructed flow all the way to the tailpipe.
The Y would flow better backwards.
