Hello,

I saw instructions for installing a trip minder computer into a TC somewhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Also, can someone tell me which cars used them that are compatiable with a TC setup?

looks like there will be two of us doing this, as i got mine out of a crown vic today Smile
That works but you unless you have two ground wires on the pigtail you received you may have to add a ground either externally or internally. Apparently the one I have has to have independent grounds for the speed and fuel signals but the provided connector only had one.

I did mine internally and it works great.

if you have an 88, this is exactly what we need.
Yep, that should help. If you all run into anything let me know. I just finished mine and it's rather fresh in my head. The hardest part to me was still tapping the wires but I decided to do it at the computer to make sure it was what I wanted.

I pulled the computer connector loose (loosen the bolt and it pulls itself out) and traced not only the wire color but the pinout as well to make sure.

It is a very cool addition - wish I had one on my daily driver too.

how do i set it?
-time
-date
-etc.
Press the R button and relase, the press the TIME button and release.

The current HOUR is displayed in set mode.

Use the S button to change the hour to match and then press the TIME again.

It will move to minutes, use the same process until everything is set and it should bounce back to the time/date display.

I have to assume the R is reset and the S is Set.

k thanks

it went flawlessly. i am so happy with it. so many functions!
No prob.. when you figure it all out post the info.. lol.

So far I've beat on this engine pretty hard since it's new to me and I haven't had a stick car running for some time and I'm still over 20mpg on the unit. Still have to check the fuel usage against the actuals.
