Full Version: Bad antennae?

In switching from my mustang to my T Bird, I noticed a lot worse of a radio. I have premium sound, but horrible pick-up. Heck, A radio station that on the 'stang I could pick up over 60 miles out of town, I'm now losing at 30. Plus, mostly with AM, I hear static in tune with my revs. (I'm thinking it's the EM from the alt)

Is it a bad antennae? Electrical connections along the way?
I have an aftermarket cd player, could that be the problem?

What might cause that?
Check the radio and antenna cable are properly grounded. The cable shield should be grounded at the antenna mount and the plug should make good contact with the grounded radio. CD has nothing to do with it.
