code 81 comes up right when i start the test, which i think is memory code

i plugged the stock BCS back in and i still get a check engine light

Again, which test?? Engine running or engine off??

i pulled 81 when engine is off

i passed smog, and the light doesn't come on if the car is sitting there idling (like at a smog station)

if im going 80 on the freeway, it will go off and come back on in a few seconds

Code 81 can only exist in the KOEO form.

Code 81 on the TC is the boost control circuit. The boost solenoid and circuit should be checked.

If i remember correctly, there is a slim chance it could also be a faulty EEC, VREF issue, or a TPS issue.

i'll email you the section on how to troubleshoot code 81.

KOEO I just got an 81, and I know what did it. There are vac lines on the turbo that lead to some sort of weird solenoid or something (maybe BCS? I dunno.) that is by the harness for the VAM. I removed it from the car because the vac lines were tough to get off of it.

Yes, that is the BCS. And if its not electrically hooked up, it will generate that code 81.
If you dont want to see the code 81, wire a 100 ohm 1 Watt resistor across the BCS connector (harness side, of course). This will fool the EEC into thinking the BCS is still there.
