i have an 88 automatic that is stock. I'm wondering what the max boost a stock automatic car should make. when i floor the throttle, my boost only goes up to 7 or 8 psi. thanks for the help!

As I understand it, stock 87 & 88 TC Autos are limited to a max of 10psi boost. The not-real-accurate stock boost gauge may be causing the reading to look low.

When my car still had the automatic and I hadn't bypassed the BCS yet I had the same trouble. Absolutely STANDING on it would get me no more than 8 psi.
I installed a gillis valve at the same time I pulled the A4LD for a T5 and now I get 14-16 on a daily basis - still the stock gauge.
