If you have a black TC and the paint is in at least fair condition, you might be interested in this. I saw this on sale at Pep Boy's last month. Even then I thought it was a little pricey at $23 + tax. I went ahead and bought some anyway.
I finally got enough time and the right weather to test it on my black TC this weekend.

I must say that I'm impressed, got rid cloudy clear coat haze and minimized many fine scratches that tend to fill in and look white after regular waxing. For the first time since I got the car the black looks really BLACK.

Does have some downside, it's a two stage process. So, while not a lot of hard rubbing is involved, you do have to apply and remove two complete coats, it takes some time, some elbow grease.
Both compounds contain a black pigment, you will need gloves, if you get it on your cloths it will be hard to remove, the bottles are easy to spill. Finally, it's only for black paint, no good for other colors.

A review of the stuff is here:

I looked it over. Sounds interesting. I wonder if they will develop a kit for other colors?
there's a (cheaper) red (and black) turtle wax

some other products are available in various colors, e.g. white

Yea, I think the black "Color Magic" is about the same as the step 2 "Black Box" polish. The step 1 cleaner-prep compound makes significant improvement in the final look especially if you have that clear coat "haze". At least it did for me.
There are a number of "color back" and similar products around that I've tried in the past, haven't been as nearly impressed with the results as I was with the Black Box stuff.
i just used the black box on a hood that was all but F***ed. the thing came out looking amazing. i am going to use it to restore the black paint on my honda as well before i sell it. its got takes some elbow greese, but the results are well worth the time.
What am I missing? What is the point of having a color in the wax if you are waxing a clearcoated car? Wouldn't you want the product to be as "clear" as possible? I could understand if it was an enamel or laquer, but not a clear. What's the scoop?

Can't tell you "how" it works. But I can tell you it made a definite improvement on my car compared the ordinary wax I was using.
Well, I'm no chemist (about all I can do is turn beer into urine), so I wouldn't know either. As long as it works, that's all that matters.
