I think mine was just a touch too long as it kinks a little bit when the turbo is installed.

Although there is so little hose there, I hesistate to call it kinked. Do you think this could be causing my problem?

Why don't you contact MaxPSI about the problem? Several folks at turboford.org use their oil lines, try them. I wanted to get the supply/return kit but one of the lines doesn't work on an IHI for lack of an available fitting. They are supposed to work fine on a T3.
