My friend wanted to me to ask about how to put a programmed ride control on a fox body mustang?
i dont know if you could, pretty sure the one in the Tbe TC is integrated into the computer. unless someone makes something aftermarket that is similar it would probably be pretty difficult
Like goodsuff said, it has it's own computer + integrated with the EEC. Several sensors for different things, lots of wiring and struts and shocks that are not made any more and they are not rebuildable. It would be cheaper and easier to buy the turbo coupe. And so much classier!!
I'm not sure why you would. If he's looking for the firm ride setting, there are a million options for stiffening the ride of a mustang from the aftermarket.
From a wiring point of view it would be easy to have a switch put it in soft or firm and thus eliminate the computer. I have no idea about the mechanics of it though.
I did a test today to see if the rotor spins on my 88 tc, and it doesnt.
If the test involved cranking the engine and the rotor didn't turn then the cam belt either has stripped teeth or is completely broken or the distributor gear teeth stripped.

I'd investigate the belt first,

I dont have the tools to look at the timing belt yet. Whats the pros and cons on putting MSD on a turbo motor?
An MSD isn't going to fix the problem you have. Right now the engine is not capable of running.
I know that. Im just asking for future reference
