my friend is buying an 88 tempo with the 2.3 in it and automatic tranny he was wondering what all would be involved in swapping the 2.3 for a tc motor, and what would a rough estimate be for a price to do this

haha that is just awasome. A TT (turbo tempo), lol correct me if Im wrong but arnt they front wheel drive? this would place the turbo between the firewall and motor... is there room? then the drive train would have to rebuilt as well Id think since it is only used to 100hp.

Very dependable transprotation and absolutely the most uninspired driving experience since ...... since....... Anyway he would be looking at a lot of $$ I would think. Does he want to adapt the 2.3T to the current FWD or convert the car to RWD? Either way your looking at a fair amount of custom work and I'm have no idea how much the stock drietrain components can handle.

When my sister was 16 she totalled 2 Tempos in 10 days. Was my old man mad. I just felt I had to add that.
