I recently bought an '88 TC that the rear end was taken out of. I had a rear fron an '88 but the calipers were gone. I put it in and bought new calipers. I can not get the caliper back far enough to install on the drivers side. The pass. side went on OK. Whats up with this? How do you retract the caliper? I tried a C Clamp like I always do on the front but it doesn't work. I tried it on an old caliper too but to no avail. HELP. Please
The rear caliper pistons screw in and out. You have to turn them. There are tools made to do this. You may be able to borrow one (deposit required) from like Auto Zone. Some time you can get lucky and use regular hand tools
