Well, I decided to try out the cruise control tonight and well, let's just say it doesn't like "cruise"! When I turn it on and hit the "set" button, it just accelerates till I turn it off or hit the brakes/clutch. Any clues? Sounds like a cruise control module problem.

Either the cruise amplifier or the servo... but you know that already. My guess would be a problem with the servo (in driver side fender). You can do some basic measurements on the servo from inside the car. Pull the 6 pin connector off the amplifier (left of steering wheel at firewall). Resistance of O/Y to GY/BK should be 40 to 125 ohms (vacuum solenoid), O/Y to W/PK should be 40 to 190 ohms (vac dump solenoid). You can also apply 12 V briefly to each and listen for a click from the servo in the fender. If these check out, measure oms from BR/LG to P/LB, should be 50,000 ohms. This is across the feedback pot that feeds back servo throttle position to the amplifier. Now the ballpark measurement.... P/LB to Y/R should be low ohms, like 1000 or so, very roughly. Y/R is the slider of the feedback pot.

Hey all, just thought I'd post an update in case anyone else has the same issues. I found a amplifier out of an 89 'stang in my basement and threw it in. Works like a charm! Get this, intermittently the thing would also make my gas pedal go to the floor on it's own...talk about stains in my underwear. Man, now I'm running out of things to fix on her.
