replaced my oxygen sensor today, fixed my lean mixture problem. The sensor was coated in white.
What’s do the white coating mean? When I dropped the used engine in, the inside of the exhaust manifold had the same white coating. I hope this doesn’t mean something big

Next question, my check engine light is now out, but I ran the codes, KOEO I got code 81. Now since It has something to do wit the secondary fan, would it come up if I had my switch on that turns on that fan manually affect it? When I ran KOER, got code 25 buts that ok, I didn’t hit the intake.

Next Questions. When i shift under full throttle as soon as i get back in gear and hit the throttle i hear the car ping, is there something I c an do about this? it bothers me sounds lie a rod knock but now it s pinging. I run regular gas, and always shave the switch for fuel on reg., but i just noticed this problem since i did the exhaust manifold gaskets.

BTW car has great acceleration again. Next step, get new struts and shocks and brand new tires, repaint my door (I hate garage doors) then the car is set.

WaHoo, car is back.

Code 81 does not have to do with the secondary fan. It is the boost solenoid circuit.
