Door ajar and dome light door switches are not the same switch! Door ajar switch is attached to the latch mechanism inside the door. Dome light switch is on the frame of the car by the door hinges. It pushes in to turn off. See if both switches (one for each door) are working...... not stuck, bent, etc.

Also, discinnect the connector from the main light switch (with both doors shut). If lights go off with switch disconneced, light switch is bad.

also check at the back of center council there is a switcth to turn the lights off and on
The switch on the back of the console controls the two dome lights for the rear seat. They don't control the center dome light, or the lights under the instrument panel and door panels.

Do you have the keyless entry system?
