i've had some problems with engine stalling out,but only when i jump on the gas hard and not until it hits about 4000rpm.i talked to someone who has a tbird and he said his vam hose has a spring in it to keep it from collapsing. my vam hose is real flimsy and doesn't have a spring, if it collapsed would it cause car to stall like that.
thanks
mark

I think they are obsolete. You might get 3" diameter truck radiator hose to work.
thanks pete i'll try and find one. i have a buddy that works on diesel trucks do you think he has something i can use?

I'm using a cut-down portion of the air-intake hose off of a late-80's V6 Bronco II for my T3 to large VAM. Came from a salvage yard, spring included.

High probability of yes. I get mine from a truck supply place. Most auto parts stores don't carry anything that big.

You only need two tools in life; WD-40 and Duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use Duct Tape.

how about this idea.
if all i need is a spring inside the hose can't i just make one? i'm thinking of taking the hose to work and getting some drill rod and just coil it up to the diameter of the hose and slide it inside the hose. what do you guys think. after your all done laughing let me know. also since i've never seen the spring can someone guess at the diam. of spring. we have drill rod that starts as piano wire to over a 1/4".
