Dropped the trans off to Bob Hanlon again. Dang T5 was grinding after 6 months of it being in my car. I just finally found the time to yank it. the piece the T- out bearing slides on was brand new but when pulled I had deep grooves in it. Bob called today and said the blocker rings were gone. they last over 150,000 miles not 15,000. second gear was trashed from grinding as well.
Since i did not shim the flywheel and it was cut before im thinking this was the problem from not letting the clutch fully disengage from the trans wearing the blocker rings fast. But then Im thinking this "premium" napa PP is messed up too cocking the T-out bearing putting the grooves in the input shaft cover. I dont see any cracked or broken fingers but Im gonna have bob look at it. Anybody ever come across something similiar?
