I know that a solid state IVR can be made (its in the tech articles), however I was told that someone on this site makes and sells them. I may know how to work on cars , but I am horrible with eletronics. Can anyone help me out.
I made one but haven't installed it and I am definitely amongst the electrically challenged. You would have to contact the author of the article, James Johnson to see if he has any for sale.

I'll take one... mine's prolly going out because when I started the car this morning.. the speed suddenly went up to 20 mph, fluxuated up and down a bit, then bumped back and forth to 10 mph and finally stopped

Actually the speedo, tach and ammeter guage aren't powered by the IVR, I'll bet you've got a flakey speed sensor.

Methos, I'm with James. Your speedo problem is not the IVR. I've heard of a flaky speedo being related to charging system problems if it is doing it while sitting.

I have a spare cluster waiting for a solid state IVR! Let me know what you come up with.
