hey been working on this ongoing problem .the thought just hit me!!!! when i bought the car the back window was busted yeah it got rained on a lot . the thought is that the abs computer got wet and maybe went bad would that explain why i have no brake or abs light on the dash lit but still have hard brakes . i hook up the computer to the the trunk diagnostic port and it beep once and froze what do you guys think
First of all, a typical aftermarket "beeping" or "blinking light" code reader will NOT read the ABS codes.

Do the red BRAKE and yellow ABS lights come on when the key is turned to start, which also tests all the bulbs (bulb prove out)? I am wondering if the bulbs are burned out or have been removed. Does the red BRAKE light come on with the parking brake on like it should?

The ABS computer is a pretty well sealed up unit, but if water got in the 30 pin connector and caused any corrosion, it might cause problems.

yea if the emergency brake is on the red light comes on . but after i let the brake up it goes out . so the light did come on i even went so far as to unplug sensors on the abs master and no abs light.
