the car has a small vam and brown tops on it. i thought if you had the small vam it should have green. it ran very well like this too. also is the throttle body the same size on the 85's as the 87 88 ? and lastly, what year did they change the dash? the 85 is the same as my 88.
I think?? the dash changed in 85. I have an 84 sales bochure and it shows a TC dash that is not 87-88 style.

The 83 to sometime in 85 (as best I can tell from Brobst' chart) had green tops and small VAM. Sometime in 85 there appears to have been a change to brown tops but still small VAM.

As far as I know all the TC TBs are the same size. This is not to say that there aren't other differences.
The 85 & 86 had the small VAM with brown tops & PC1 EEC. The interior change was made in 85. The throttle body is the same. The base idle adjustment screw is the only difference. They are all interchangable. I have heard that the early 85's had green tops, but I don't if that's accurate.
thanks for the info.
